As a group of people, we can make a difference. Whether it is being responsible about the use of scarce resources and ensuring we don’t pollute, or becoming aware of community issues and doing our bit to help; the staff at Converga have demonstrated we are passionate about “doing our bit."
Our journey to achieve our vision - developing revolutionary solutions for our clients and integrating social awareness culture in our staff and partners – is continuing.
We believe that we can positively benefit our clients’ impact on the environment and assist them in reducing their carbon emissions by introducing paperless office solutions. We are committed to reducing paper consumption through our intelligent imaging solutions and sustainable procurement practices.
We will engage our shareholders, our clients, our partners, our suppliers and the community in sustainable practices by implementing responsible procurement and energy efficient solutions to lower energy consumption. We are committed to reducing carbon emissions.
We will drive our community investment by educating and engaging our staff to be good corporate citizens. We will grow and develop their social responsibility by rewarding them for their contribution to community volunteering and supporting fundraising events for key charities. We will continue to establish ‘community partnerships' to address specific community issues with non-profit organisations.
In our operations, we will:
- Comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and standards
- Identify and manage environmental risks within our operations and apply best practice principles in the prevention of pollution
- Measure our environmental footprint and meet our GHG reduction target
- Enable and encourage our team to give back to the community by establishing performance targets in volunteering
- Implement and use management systems to plan, document, measure and monitor environmental performance including setting, assessing and reviewing objectives and targets
- Continually improve performance through training, management review, research and development and consultation with the community
- Communicate this policy to all employees, contractors and other stakeholders as well as making this policy available to the general public.
